By accessing or using the Parabanc website (the "Site"), a simulated game you play in your web browser, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and Legal Disclaimers. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site.

1. Simulated Entertainment Purpose Only (No Real Banking Services)

  • Not a Financial Institution: Parabanc is a simulated, gamified entertainment website operated solely for entertainment and social purposes. Parabanc is NOT a bank, credit union, trust company, money services business (MSB), or licensed financial institution under the Bank Act (Canada) or any provincial financial legislation.
  • No Financial Products or Services: Parabanc does not take fiat deposits, issue real-world credit, perform money transfers, hold real-world financial balances, or offer investment advice, yield products, or securities.
  • Not Insured: Balances, scores, and rewards displayed on the Site are strictly virtual items and are NOT eligible for CDIC (Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation) protection, provincial deposit insurance, or any government coverage.

2. Virtual Items and In-Game Credits

  • No Monetary Value: All virtual credits, points, coins, or simulated currency ("In-Game Items") displayed in Parabanc are strictly internal, fictional game elements.
  • Non-Convertible & Non-Transferable: In-Game Items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be cashed out, redeemed for Canadian Dollars (CAD) or any fiat currency, transferred outside the Site, or exchanged for real-world legal tender, goods, or services.
  • License Only: In-Game Items represent a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use digital content on the Site for personal entertainment. Parabanc reserves the right to adjust, modify, reset, or remove In-Game Items at its sole discretion without liability.

3. Not Real Money Gambling

  • Entertainment Only: Parabanc is a free-to-play social simulation played in the browser and does not constitute real-money gambling under Section 201 of the Criminal Code (Canada).
  • No Cash Prizes: No real money, cash payouts, or tangible real-world prizes can be won or earned through gameplay or simulated leaderboards.

4. Disclaimers of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

  • "As-Is" Service: The Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Canada (including Ontario and all other provinces/territories), the operators, developers, directors, officers, and affiliates of Parabanc shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site, or any reliance on information or simulated financial metrics presented on the Site.

5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of Parabanc are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
